Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee and implement the Quality Control (QC) program at the work site. This role requires managing the QC program while potentially performing the duties of a project superintendent. The successful candidate will attend meetings, conduct QC meetings, perform phases of control, review and approve submittals, ensure testing, and provide required QC certifications and documentation.
ResponsibilitiesImplement and manage the QC program at the work site.Attend the Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting.Conduct QC meetings and manage the three phases of control.Review and approve submittals.Ensure testing is performed and provide QC certifications and documentation.Coordinate and manage documentation performed by others.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years combined experience as a superintendent, inspector, project manager, or construction manager on similar size and type construction contracts.Familiarity with the requirements of the 385-1-1 safety compliance.Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.Construction Quality Management for Contractors course completion with a current certificate.Additional Skills & QualificationsConstruction management expertise.Subcontractor management skills.Project management proficiency.Supervision experience.Work Environment
The position involves on-site management at the Kings Bay naval base, focusing on CA Erosion Control Culverts for Phases 1, 2, and 3. The work includes reducing erosion and providing stability near the missile haul route by replacing mitered end sections and adding channel lining, in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
