Construction Proposal Coordinator
Job Title: Proposal Coordinator
Job Description

The primary purpose of the Proposal Coordinator is to provide proposal templates for both the civil and electrical Transmission, Distribution, and Substation construction bids with the information required for submission to the client. The Proposal Coordinator starts with populating our bid estimating calendar and detailing the requirements of the bid project by each individual client. The calendar will, at a minimum, keep track of attending pre-bid job walks, dates for asking questions, and the bid due date to keep the estimators and construction managers up to date. The secondary purpose of the Proposal Coordinator is to assist each estimator with bid takeoffs as well as creating and maintaining the bid proposals from cradle to grave. Each bid proposal will be tracked utilizing our estimating responsibility matrix to keep projects on track and on time. The program manager will work with both contract administration and operations to finalize bid projects based on the client's requirements. The third purpose of the Proposal Coordinator is to assist with finding and securing subcontractors for the bid preparation. Utilizing Small Businesses, Diversity Contractors, and Non-Diversity Subcontractors to meet the client's goals is a large part of achieving the requirements of the bid project. Working with the estimator as an additional resource will facilitate the planning and preparation of the project.

ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze RFPs and related documents and align proposal responses accordingly.Maintain and update the weekly proposal schedule and ensure adherence to all deadlines.Update and assign bid numbers to the Bid Index.Prepare all supporting proposal development documentation (outline, team assignments, proposal management plan, schedule, kick-off meeting materials, etc.).Write and edit proposal content as necessary to fulfill proposal compliance requirements.Assist estimators in locating and vetting subcontractors for each project as needed.Facilitate reviews and coordinate proposal production activities.Essential SkillsIn-depth understanding of proposal compliance, including experience analyzing solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, and work statements to develop compliance matrices, writing templates, document formats, and production requirements.Prepare proposal templates for electrical transmission, distribution, and substation projects.Submit quote requests for materials and subcontractors.Experience creating proposal outlines and schedules.At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry.At least 1 year of experience in estimating.Highly developed word processing skills, especially with Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsConstructionEstimatingMicrosoft ExcelProposal WritingRFPWriting skillsTechnical writingMicrosoft OfficeProposal managementEngineeringWork Environment

Candidate will be spending the majority of their time in the office. Standard hours are from 8 am to 5 pm. The candidate will report directly to the VP. There is an awesome bonus structure and benefits program available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
