Construction Project Manager SEA (SG/MY)

Job Description

On this journey we´re all collaborating to create the best omni customer offer for our customers and as a Construction Project Manager you will be a key player in making this happen. 
This role is part of the Construction & Facilities (C&F) department supporting all Brands within the H&M Group in the sales market for Singapore and Malaysia. 
As a Construction Project Manager you will lead, manage, and organize construction projects across the H&M portfolio from inception to handover/opening with a high level of professionalism and according to company policies, routines, standards and local legislation. As well as having a sustainable approach and a strong business mindset.

Key responsibilities

Plan and prepare projects from inception, including site surveys, value engineering, and risk assessment, while securing investment budgets and project timelines.Strengthen internal routines and communication between departments to ensure smooth project planning and execution, and drive the design coordination, procurement, and logistics.Follow up on the construction process to meet deadlines and quality standards, and mitigate financial and branding risks by securing necessary permits with consultants and authorities.Build long-term partnerships with suppliers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring financial transparency through cost follow-up and tendering processes.Optimize planning and follow-up tools, driving improvement actions, and sharing learnings and best practices with colleagues.

Qualifications

We see that you have strong communication skills and high sense of urgency, understanding business needs and requirements. You have the ability to prioritize, especially in circumstances where you are put under pressure and with tight deadlines. You are comfortable managing several stakeholders and various projects and tasks simultaneously. Through strong teamwork and clear communication, you secure that relevant stakeholder receives needed information on time. You are positive, embrace challenges and have a growth/agile mindset.

What you need to succeed:

Previous working experience in Retail Fit-out, Construction, Facility Management, or Real Estate, with a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a similar field. Experience in managing external suppliers, following up on contractual obligations, and working with multiple stakeholders.Demonstrate a good understanding of technical installations (HVAC, Fire Safety systems, electrical installations, etc.), procurement, Health & Safety, and implementing brand design guidelines on-site.Relevant certificates in project management, with advanced proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and writing).Be flexible to travel frequently within South East Asia.

Additional Information

This is a permanent position on a local contract based at our Support Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will report to the Regional Head of Construction and Facilities within the Expansion Department.

Travel & project management tasks will be focused on Malaysia and Singapore but not limited to it.
