Position: Construction Project Manager
Place of Work: Camden, NJ; KPS Technology Center and various Nuclear Power Plants
Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the Construction Project Manager position in its Civil Design & Construction department with the company’s Nuclear Power division based at the company’s KPS Technology Campus in Camden, NJ. This department is responsible for construction of Spent Fuel Storage Installations at various Nuclear Power Plants across the United States and worldwide. The Construction Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all on-site construction activities and managing the overall workflow to ensure successful project execution. You will coordinate closely with the Holtec Construction Team, clients, and contractors to facilitate communication and task completion. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Corporate Project Manager with purchase order management, clarifying scopes of work, preparing cost estimates and proposals, and evaluating projects for constructability and value-engineering opportunities. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining project schedules using modern scheduling tools, negotiating contracts and subcontracts, and implementing effective project controls such as submittal and change order logs. Proactive problem-solving, budget management, and thorough documentation of changes are essential required skills. The Construction Project Manager is required to be located at the job site for the duration of Holtec activities.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
+ B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
+ 10+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor engaged in general building construction
+ Demonstrated experience estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted work
+ Strong written/verbal communication skills
+ A working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work
+ High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry
+ Willing to travel over 50% of the time on assignments, following a training and acclimation period in NJ. Temporary relocation may be required anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on project.
+ Current safety credentials to include OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR
+ Nuclear Power Plant experience preferred but not required
