Braun Intertec is seeking Construction Materials Testing Technicians to join our team in Amarillo, TX. No experience necessary.

As a technician, we will train you to perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.  Onsite materials testing is conducted on various commercial and transportation construction projects located throughout the area.

New hires will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. Responsibilities:

Perform field density tests of soilsPerform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperaturePrepare daily reportsWork with project managers and senior technicians to ensure project specifications are followedPerform routine sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt and assist with more complex tasks, as required
 

Qualifications:

A strong safety focus and attention to detailA demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical conceptsFlexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours as neededVerbal and written communication skillsA High School diploma or equivalentA valid driver’s licenseThe ability to lift 50-75+ poundsComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlAt times, this position may be working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, in confined spaces, or supported trenches
