This position provides project management support to the Director of Facility Construction in the development and oversight of capital projects involving new construction, large scale renovations and other Capital Maintenance projects. Examples include the planning and renovation of interior office space and major mechanical equipment replacements. Essential Duties + Assistance in the planning and development of project charters, scopes, and budgets including verification and validation + Communication with end users and stakeholders + Development, administration, and enforcement of Architectural, Engineering, and construction contracts for small to medium sized capital construction and capital maintenance projects + Management of contractor and vendor throughput associated with assigned projects + Project management duties including management of project budget, schedule, and all project related project documentation + Management of all project documentation in County Project Management systems 6. Track progress of assigned projects with regular bi-weekly updates to Divisional and County leadership + Management of project financial documentation and processing including contractor and vendor invoicing + Management of project closeout processes including invoicing, communications and collaboration with Business Services, and all aspects of project warranty and closeout processes Other Job Requirements/Information + This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. + This job requires a valid driver's license from state of residency + This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval. Grade The grade for this position is 106. Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a closely related field; AND + Six years of construction management experience; OR + An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
