Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Manager to lead and oversee a variety of construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality. You will work with multiple teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure all aspects of construction projects align with company expectations, safety regulations, and local building codes. A key aspect of the role will be the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to facilitate competitive bidding and project success. Additionally, you will be expected to travel to project sites, provide on-site supervision, and produce weekly reports to the Vice President of Real Estate & Construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to safety, OSHA regulations, and municipal building codes.Communicate effectively with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure projects meet contractual performance standards.Review construction, cabinet, and display plans to ensure builds align with quality expectations.Develop strong relationships with subcontractors to secure competitive bids for upcoming projects.Secure necessary permits to maintain accurate project timelines and identify and mitigate potential risks.Ensure quality construction exceeds company standards while utilizing the proper industry techniques to meet The Tile Shop’s needs.Organize and lead meetings with departments to ensure seamless communication for timely delivery of products and materials, and overall project success.Collaborate with the Vice President of Real Estate & Construction to gather estimates, anticipate cost changes, and build project budgets.Review daily progress of projects, ensuring that construction quality standards are maintained and that projects stay on budget.Supervise construction sites to ensure timely completion according to plans, with some required travel for on-site supervision.Oversee all tile installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.Coordinate all aspects of construction while working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors as necessary.Provide weekly status reports to the Vice President of Real Estate & Construction on active projects.Generate and complete punch lists for each project within the established timeline.Review, approve, and manage all project-related invoices, ensuring correct allocation and timely closure of budgets.Ensure all project closeout documentation is completed and stored properly.Be prepared to travel up to 40% of your time.Assist the facilities team in supporting store locations as neededPerform other duties as assigned to support organizational growth and adapt to evolving needs. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in building science, construction management, or civil engineering or equivalent experience desired.Excellent resource, planning, and time management skillsSuperior management and delegation capabilitiesHigh level of financial responsibilitiesLeadership, project, and time management skillsAbility to work with confidential information is essential.
