Job Description

Create detailed cost estimates organized by CSI and arranged to follow the required project pricing format.Provide high-level scoping of the project to create the estimate summary and outsourcing strategy.Facilitate outreach to subcontractors and suppliers, delegating outsourcing responsibilities to obtain at least three proposals for each bid package.Visit project sites, participate in pre-proposal meetings, clarify scopes of work, and prepare RFIs.Evaluate projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings.Manage the pre-proposal RFI process and list clarifications and exceptions with the Contract Administrator and Director of Finance to prequalify subcontractors and manage risk.Identify specialty subcontractors and suppliers for unique project requirements.Develop or manage the development of a preliminary bid schedule and General Conditions for the project.Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders through the bid process to capture the complete scope of each trade.Manage bid receipt and pricing to develop the final selling price and offer.Occasionally negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders. Participate in industry networking functions and engage in lifelong learning activities.Coordinate project schedules, tasks, and updates efficiently.Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).Coordinate cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and ensure resolution with the project manager.
