Construction & Design Associate Attorney

A highly regarded legal team is seeking an associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its Construction & Design practice in Seattle. This role involves advising public and private clients, including owners, contractors, and engineers, on a variety of construction-related legal matters, from project planning to dispute resolution.

  Key Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel on construction contracts, risk assessment, and claim management Represent clients in litigation and dispute resolution related to construction projects Work with stakeholders on government contracts and regulatory compliance Assist with contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute mitigation strategies Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on construction-related matters   Qualifications: JD from an ABA-accredited law school 2-3 years of experience in construction law, litigation, or government contracting Admission to the Washington State Bar Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills Ability to work collaboratively with clients and legal teams   Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for Seattle applicants: $205,000 - $235,000, based on experience Flexible billable-hour track option with a proportional salary adjustment Comprehensive benefits, including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement savings plan Paid parental leave (up to 15 weeks) Flexible time off and paid holidays Professional development and relocation support (where applicable)
