Construction Deputy Quality ManagerKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. KBR is looking for a Construction Deputy Quality Manager to develop specific goals and prioritize, organize, and accomplish Quality Assurance / Quality Control activities. This role requires construction site experience, ability to meet tight deadlines, and must be proactive. The Construction Deputy Quality Manager will implement, audit, analyze, and improve the Quality Management system.
Responsibilities:
Assist and support Construction Quality Manager in the following activities.Prepare and implement the quality plan, the QA/QC audit plan and QA/QC proceduresProvide project specifications and technical guidance to Contractors/ Sub-contractors/ Vendors/ Manufacturers/ Suppliers for preparation of QA/QC proceduresReview and approve all QA/QC procedures from Contractors/ Sub-contractorsOrganize, manage, and coordinate QA/QC activities with Contractors/ Sub-contractorsCoordinate QA/QC activities with Certifying Authorities and KBR Notified Inspection Body (NoBo)Create, execute, and lead quality audits during the fabrication and construction processRaising where necessary appropriate corrective action requests Follow up with effective re-audit and close outDevelop, establish, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) including Quality Plan, Surveillance Plan, and procedures to ensure that the project focuses on planning, control, and improvement of activitiesStimulate quality awareness and implications with all project employees and strive for continual improvement of the implemented QMSDefine required QA/QC resources needed during various phases of project progressReport to Project Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose way of improvement and intended resolutions that is identified and need to be resolved, including suggestions for resolutionReview quality requirements for contracts and bids QA/QC evaluationParticipate in Contractor Kick off meetings (KoM’s) Convene Pre-Inspection meetings with Contractors / subcontractorsArrange QA & QC meetings with Contractor(s) on a regular basis to discuss quality matters as necessaryReview key Contractors, Sub-Contractor, Inspection & Test Plans to include COMPANY surveillance (hold, witness & review) of key activities including inspection and testing to verify compliance to the requirements independentlyEnsure appropriate quality control procedures are in place for final documentation and as-built drawingHandover all Project final documentations to Operation Team upon Mechanical CompletionRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred.9 + of directly related experience 3 + of which should be in management/supervisory position.Experience in Quality management systems implementation, audit, analysis, and improvement Strong inter personnel skillsExcellent organizational, and communication skillsPractical experience and knowledge of: National and international manufacturing codes and specifications Destructive and non-destructive testing methodsManufacturing techniques and processesQuality Assurance and Quality Control specifications, systems and practicesPreferred Successful completion of ISO9001:2015 Lead Assessor training course
