The Field Construction Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting and coordinating the daily operations of the Field Construction Manager. This position demands versatility, requiring the ability to navigate both active construction sites and office environment. Responsibilities are dynamic and can range from preparing essential documentation to delivering necessary materials to job sites, depending on the day's priorities. The secondary responsibility of the Field Construction Coordinator is to proactively ensure the optimal operation of the Field Construction team. This role demands a levelheaded thinker capable of understanding the numerous moving parts of active projects and addressing any blind spots. You will engage with various departments and groups within Flynn Facades to educate, inform, and gather critical information necessary for the construction team's tasks. Acting as the eyes and ears of the Construction Manager, this position requires a high level of communication and coordination in a fast-paced environment.

A Day in the Life:-Coordinate daily operations with the Field Construction Manager.-Prepare and manage essential documentation; maintain accurate records of project activities, milestones and prepare project progress reports and presentations.-Coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials to various job sites; deliver necessary materials to job sites.-Ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site.-Communicate with various departments to gather critical information; facilitate meetings and briefings as required.-Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.-Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.-Support the procurement of materials and equipment; coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.-Identify and forecast project budgets and expense overruns.-Provide administrative support to the construction team.-Act as a liaison between the construction team and other stakeholders.-Assist in the setup and maintenance of temporary site facilities, such as trailers and storage units.-Monitor the progress of subcontractors and ensure they adhere to project timelines.-Monitor on-site issues or conflicts promptly to avoid project delays.-Verify that all workers on-site have the necessary permits and certifications.-Ensure that construction equipment is properly maintained and available when needed.-Document and report any deviations from the project plan to the Field Construction Manager.-Assist in the implementation of quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.-Analyze project data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.-All other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.-Proven experience in construction coordination or a similar role.-Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.-Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project).-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.-Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.-Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills.-Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and decision-making skills.-Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.-Certification in construction management or a related field (e.g., PMP, CCM) is an asset.
