This role involves overseeing change control processes, utilizing configuration management (CM) tools, and driving process improvement initiatives. The Configuration Manager will work closely with the IT Security Division to protect and preserve the integrity of IT products and services. _Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance._ Rate: $50 - $56 / hr. w2 **Responsibilities:** + Develop and implement configuration management plans and policies to ensure system integrity and compliance with organizational standards. + Utilize CM tools to track and manage system configurations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. + Oversee change control processes to minimize disruption and maintain the integrity of IT systems. + Collaborate with IT teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. + Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with configuration standards and identify areas for improvement. + Manage the Technical Change Control Board (TCCB) and oversee the evaluation and disposition of requests for new technologies. + Use ServiceNow Change Management, Release Management, and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to track releases and major changes to existing systems and applications. + Approve new systems and applications for deployment to production environments. + Manage the Software Asset Management (SAM) module of IT Asset Management (ITAM). **Experience Requirements:** + Proficiency in security controls, CM tools, process improvement, and change control. + Strong organizational and project management skills. + Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. + 5 years of experience in configuration management or a related field. **Education Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. + ITIL Certification. _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
