Conference Services Assistant Apply now (https://secure.dc4.pageuppeople.com/apply/674/gateway/default.aspx?c=apply&lJobID=535261&lJobSourceTypeID=796&sLanguage=en-us) Job no: 535261 Work type: Student Ast Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) Categories: Recreation/Event Services, Student Services Department: 07010000 - HO-HOUSING-GENERAL Classification Title: STU AST-CLERICAL & ADMIN Job Description: The Student Assistant within Housing & Residence Life Conference Services team is responsible for: + Assist with event space and conference lodging reservations by processing online requests, connecting with clients via email and phone, and maintaining the event space calendar and occupancy chart + Coordinate the ordering of auxiliary services (maintenance, custodial services, access requests for meeting & event spaces, AV equipment, etc.) + Assist with invoicing for guest apartments, event spaces and conferences + Inspect guest & event spaces for proper equipment set-up, layout, and function prior to use + Provide administrative support for conference services including answering phones, routing calls appropriately, responding to emails, and answering questions related to Conference Services and guest housing + Assist with guest apartment and intern housing reservations including processing online requests, contacting guests, and creating and delivering check-in materials Expected Salary: $13.00 hourly Minimum Requirements: This position is open to all students who are enrolled as a full-time student in good standing as defined by the University at the time of employment. Maintain a 2.5 cumulative and semester GPA the semester prior to employment and be available for 20-hours per week.
