UFP Concrete Forming Solutions is the leading supplier of lumber, plywood and value-add, custom formwork solutions to the concrete construction industry.  Our team operates from a national network of manufacturing and distribution facilities located near every major metropolitan area. We are currently seeking a Yard Supervisor that will be responsible for coordinating the incoming shipment of material. Prepares paperwork and material for shipment and reviews paperwork of incoming material.  Communicates with sales team and customer’s project site leads, on flow of rental material in and out of the facility.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities 

Coordinates and schedules all outbound loads and coordinates with sales and production.Determines proper loading order and placement of product.Verifies shipping documents and records any discrepancies.Set up all loads to be shipped via common carrier with Shipping & Receiving Department, and CFS Rental team.Coordinates routing of orders and dispatches carrier with orders and appropriate delivery instructions consistent with customer receiving times.Documents any shortage on orders, investigates reasons for occurrence and informs sales and admin of the shortage.Takes and acts upon all calls for tracing and/or expediting orders to and from customers and vendors.Maintains proper documentation and records of incoming and outgoing shipments.Loads and unloading material from trucks or carts.Prepares various reports and correspondence as required.Supervises and conducts cleaning SOP’s of rental equipment. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma/GEDMinimum 6 months of experience in shipping and receiving or related areas.Working knowledge of standard DOT concepts, regulations, practices and procedures.Working knowledge of proper loading techniques, weight limitations, and company procedures.Working knowledge of Excel, word and Outlook.Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades and species.Successful completion of forklift driver licensing process.Preferred understanding of company policies, practices and procedures.Must be at least 18 years of age.
