Job Description:

****To qualify for this role, you must be able to deploy and be on long-term assignment on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Performs essential tasks involving the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete surfaces required in the construction and renovation of family housing units. The incumbent must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while adhering to required safety standards and building codes..

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares construction sites for concrete work by setting up forms and ensuring proper alignment.Pours, levels, and smooths concrete using a variety of tools and techniques.Applies various finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, including troweling, floating, and edging.Cuts joints in concrete to control cracking using saws and other tools.Ensures compliance with project drawing, specifications, and adheres to safety regulations.Collaborates with other construction professionals, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure project requirements are met.Assists in the installation of formwork and reinforcement materials.Works directly with project managers, and other construction professionals to review plans and make recommendations for improvements.Assists in coordinating specific project schedules by working with other concrete finishers, laborers, and required construction resources. Reviews and verifies materials to ensure conformance to project specifications.Serves as part of a functional team or works independently to complete assignments according to scheduled deadlines.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.

Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Supervising Concrete Finisher, Lead Concrete Finisher

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

2+ years of related work experience in concrete finishing, including surface preparation, concrete pouring, and various finishing techniques.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of concrete finishing tools and equipment.Accuracy, attention to detail, consistency, and clarity in conformance with required job duties and safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

Physically must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to overhead position.Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to work dayshift or nightshift. Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather condition. Ability to Relocate: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.

Salary Range:

$15.68 - $71.30
