As the concierge, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: The concierge is responsible for establishing and providing excellent guest service through greeting guests, assisting with their needs during their stay, and helping guests to plan their stay by providing information about the location, park, and company. Reports to the Front Office Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Assistant Front Office Manager, and works under the supervision of the Senior Guest Service Agent. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: April 2025 - November 2025 Pay: $16.00-17.00/hr Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Responsibilities Provide our guests with the best in service, courtesy, and care in a timely manner. Actively promote and sell park activities and transportation, as well as provide guests with information about services available in Yellowstone Park and the surrounding area. Resolve guest problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest’s viewpoint and to take any necessary steps so that the guest is satisfied when they leave. Offer Yellowstone Forever donation, environmental program, and open account cards to guests during the check-in process. Register guests while receiving and posting proper payment and finalizing guest accounts at checkout. Assign guest rooms and cabins, issue keys ensuring guest security at all times and in accordance with Xanterra’s established guidelines. Accurately follow cash handling procedures and secure bank at all times. Post charges to guest accounts for services and purchases. Balance all receipts and postings for work performed during shift at the end of shift. Make, confirm, assist, and cancel reservations at other locations inside the park, including promoting and selling park activities. Answer telephones within three rings using correct greetings and telephone etiquette. Take, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, timely, thoroughly, and legibly. Document all guest problems and/or complaints using correct forms and procedures, and resolve issues to guest satisfaction at all times. Maintain knowledge of all park facilities, locations, room types, hours of operations, and activities, in an effort to answer questions and give accurate information to guests. Promote and educate guests on environmental & recycling policies and procedures. Understand and adhere to Department and Company policies and procedures. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and National Park Service personnel. Perform custodial and/or grounds keeping duties when necessary. Assist other departments as needed, including six-day work weeks during times of staffing needs. Qualifications Strong communication skills, ability to listen and evaluate. Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately. Ability to prioritize tasks, and move through them in an efficient and accurate manner. Ability to interact with diverse people and situations. Ability to work thoroughly and quickly under pressure. Ability to learn technical aspects of the activities booking process, including computer operation Physical Requirements include: Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Standing for up to eight hours per shift. Requires bending, stretching, walking, reaching, and lifting throughout a shift up to 8 hours. Working with required chemicals.
