Concessions Manager (Softball) - Temporary 2025 Term **City of Dubuque** 1 Positions ID: 62545 Posted On 02/24/2025 **Job Overview** **Position Summary** **GENERAL SUMMARY:** Under supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, will directly supervise and coordinate activities of concessions workers; oversee McAleece Concessions operations; provide food and beverage products; and perform other duties as assigned. Duties may include management functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work, in addition to supervisory duties. **Job Duties** + Answer customer questions about goods. + Greet customers, patrons, or visitors. + Supervise concessions personnel. + Establish operational policies. + Examine condition of property or products. + Monitor sales activities; inventories of products; and work areas to provide security. + Train concessions personnel. + Assign duties or work schedules to employees. + Maintain records of sales or other business transactions. + Set up merchandise displays. + Clean work areas. + Sell products. + Prepare financial documents, reports, or budgets; food. + Purchase stocks of food and beverage merchandise or supplies. + Hire and evaluate staff. + Receive and inventory food and beverage supplies. + Order, purchase, receive and inventory food and beverage supplies. + Ensure food preparation, safety and sanitation procedures are followed. + Conduct staff meetings. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** + **Customer and Personal Service** - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. + **Administration and Management** - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. + **Sales and Marketing** - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
