**Where you’ll work:**
This is a hybrid onsite/remote opportunity where you will report to the customer location in Falls Church, VA and have the flexibility to work from home based on business needs.
**An average day:**
As Computer Programmer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications that support organizational objectives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, integrate systems, and implement technical solutions to meet business needs. In this position you will:
+ Design and develop software applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
+ Collaborate with data teams to integrate data pipelines and support AI/ML model deployment and optimization.
+ Build and maintain automated processes, scripts, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
+ Work on systems integration projects, ensuring new implementations align with existing infrastructure.
+ Create and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing and releases.
+ Adhere to secure coding practices and data governance policies to protect sensitive information.
+ Collaborate with team members to review code, share best practices, and foster continuous improvement.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
+ Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software applications, systems, and processes.
+ Stay informed about emerging technologies to continuously refine and improve development methods.
+ Implement fault-tolerant architectures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans to ensure high availability and system reliability.
+ Provide mentorship to junior developers and encourage a culture of knowledge sharing.
+ Collaborate with QA to define testing strategies and validate that deliverables meet quality standards.
+ Optimize application performance through profiling, monitoring, and tuning techniques.
+ Ensure compliance with internal coding standards, industry regulations, and relevant guidelines.
+ Engage with stakeholders to understand user requirements and develop tailored solutions.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
+ Minimum of 5 years of hands-on programming experience in a professional environment.
+ DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification may be required (GSEC, GICSP, CND, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP or CCNA-Security).
+ Proficiency in one or more high-level languages (for example, Python, Java, or C#), along with scripting (such as JavaScript or Bash).
+ Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with both structured and unstructured data.
+ Familiarity with integrating machine learning models into production environments.
+ Knowledge of automation frameworks and tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Ansible) for streamlined development and deployment.
+ Competence in working with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Experience using both relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data warehousing solutions.
+ Understanding of secure coding practices, data governance requirements, and relevant compliance standards.
+ Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
+ One or more of the following certifications are desired: AWS Certified Developer, Databricks, Agile/Scrum, Python Programme
**Other:**
+ Must hold an Active DOD Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
+ Must be located within a two (2) hour commute of the physical work location
