Job Description

Naval Enterprise Sea Systems (NESS) is seeking a Computer Engineering intern who is highly motivated, creative and self-directed to help provide expertise and support to our sponsor and their mission. This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one’s domain knowledge, creative problem-solving capabilities, systems engineering skills, and technical expertise.  Specific areas of interest include systems engineering, advanced analytics, operational experience, autonomous systems expertise/experience, data science, and independent evaluation.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in a Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering degree programMust continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internshipKnowledge of mechanical engineering theorySustained excellence in academic performance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience having applied Computer or Systems or similar learning to an internship or research/lab positionExperience with prototype designHands-on" skills in at least one or more programming languageDemonstrated interest in serving the publicAbility to obtain a DOD Secret Cleaance
