This position serves as the Compliance Specialist for the DOE Ames National Laboratory Performance Management directorate and is responsible for identifying, monitoring, and protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) residing within the Laboratory in accordance with DOE O 471.7. The Compliance Specialist also serves as the Laboratory’s Technical Standards and Requirements Management representative for the Contractor Assurance System (CAS) and is responsible for participating as the Laboratory’s point of contact in DOE working groups to ensure proper impact analyses are performed in response to new and changing requirements. A successful candidate for the Compliance Specialist position will have excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex requirements; and the ability to effectively interact with all levels and categories of employees within the organization.
