Position Overview

In this role, your primary responsibility will inputting event specific details to our aggregation management system and onboarding new brokers. Other tasks may include assistance with preparing underwriting authority controls reports, surplus lines tax filings, record retention program, and preparing the corporate social responsibility report, as well as other compliance related projects and administrative duties.

Performance Objectives

In 60 Days -Gain an understanding of the Specialty Group’s various underwriting segments. During this time, you will learn about the different lines of business through direct interaction with the underwriting teams, compliance team and independent research.

In 90 Days – Gain an understanding of our software programs. You will learn how to utilize our aggregation management system to be able to coordinate the input and monitoring of Event Cancellation risks and assist with aggregation reports to be delivered to our reinsurers and insurance carriers. You will also learn to utilize various systems used to onboard third party insurance brokers.

Within 6-12 months – Develop a level of comfort with the surplus lines processes and procedures. You will be able to assist in completing surplus lines forms and affidavits and independently administer special compliance projects. At the 12-month mark, you should have a robust understanding of how compliance fits within the Specialty Group.

Your Skills and Experience:

An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred, but not requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a professional office environment preferredExcellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacyExceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAdept and accurate data entry skillsFlexibility and willingness to learnInquisitive and proactive attitude, not afraid to offer suggestions on improving/streamlining processesAdept at working as part of a team yet capable of working independently as neededWillingness to take on additional responsibilities beyond the job scope
