Compliance and Audit Services Senior Manager

Overview
Manages a variety of compliance and audit projects with primary focus on evaluating and reporting on efficiency and effectiveness of operations, accuracy in financial reporting, and compliance with rules and regulations. Assumes full responsibility to conduct routine compliance and audit projects including preparation of the annual risk assessment and resource plan. Provides leadership through the development of the department’s compliance and audit specialists.
Responsibilities
* Presents and discusses compliance and audit related issues and findings with all levels of management and prepares reports and presentations for the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
* Identifies internal control and compliance risks to the organization, designs reviews and audits, plans and executes those audits, reports findings and results and recommends interventions to mitigate risks identified through the work performed.
* Coordinates work efforts related to completing scheduled reviews and resolving compliance concerns with all necessary areas including Administration, Revenue Management, Finance, and Clinical areas.
* Participates in the annual risk assessment and development of the annual plan. Supports the facilitation of the annual plan throughout the year by designing and completing related projects and continuing risk assessment.
* Advises leadership of items related to compliance or internal audit concerns that arise during the course of Compliance and Audit Services work. Identifies resolutions to such concerns and proposes action plans.
* Contributes to reporting of the Department’s work efforts and analysis of the Organization’s Audit and Compliance risks and activities for use by the Director in reporting to Senior Management and the Board of Trustees.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or related field with 8 years of healthcare and/or project management experience required.
* CPA/MBA required.
* Previous audit experience preferred.
* Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills required.
* Must be able to function under time pressures and meet deadlines while performing multiple tasks.
