Compliance Analyst

Summary/Objective

The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with the Paymentus Corporate Compliance team and the Profit by Paymentus team to achieve varying compliance requirements, including client due diligence, transaction monitoring, and other compliance tasks as needed.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Administers the daily management of BSA/AML/OFAC compliance programs. Monitors transactional activity for unusual activity and patterns. Analyzes transactional activity trends and produces reports on a regular basis. Conducts client due diligence and risk rating. Conducts risk assessments on applicable regulations and activities. Monitors and escalates open findings from monitoring and audits until satisfactorily resolved. Acts as contact for external auditors. Researches and answers questions from internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters. Works with sponsor bank regularly to ensure compliance reporting is provided. Collaborates with the Corporate Compliance team to help business lines with compliance requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibility or direct reports.

Qualification Requirements

Team player who can multitask Data-driven, analytical mindset with excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Strong time management, planning, organization, and facilitation skills. Superior attention to detail. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and grow within financial compliance.

Education and Experience

1-3 years of compliance, BSA/AML/OFAC experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law, or related field; or equivalent experience. Understanding of emerging technologies and trends in the payments space or banking space. Awareness/understanding of the following laws/regulations/standards: Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering laws, OFAC sanction screening, Regulation E (EFTA), NACHA Rules (ACH), UDAAP, PCI, and GLBA (and other privacy rules/regulations).
