Complex Human Resources Manager with Training Focus sets the tone for Sonesta's mission of "Wowing" our guests with Amazing Moments. This dynamic role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and drive organizational success.Job Description
Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include but are not limited to:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent.Manage the entire hiring process, including job posting, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.Develop and deliver engaging onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the company culture.Employee Relations:
Advise management on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution.Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner.Maintain positive employee morale and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.Compensation & Benefits:
Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Conduct salary surveys and ensure competitive compensation packages.Manage employee records and maintain compliance with all relevant labor laws.Oversee performance management processes, including performance reviews and goal setting.Training & Development:
Conduct needs assessments to identify training and development needs across all departments.Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs, including classroom training, online courses, and workshops.Select and manage external training vendors as needed.Program Delivery & Evaluation:
Deliver engaging and effective training sessions.Track and measure the effectiveness of training programs using appropriate metrics.Continuously evaluate and improve training programs based on feedback and results.Employee Development:
Identify and develop high-potential employees through mentoring, coaching, and other development opportunities.Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Leadership and Support:
Assist the Complex Human Resources Director with day-to-day operations.Lead and motivate employees to ensure exceptional guest service.Address employees concerns and complaints. Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation regulations.Qualifications and Skills
Professional verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including dealing with difficult guests.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience with Microsoft Office and Other hotel systems preferred.Must be able work in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Ability to stand during the entire shift.Must be flexible to work variable shifts (days and night) of the week to include weekends and holidays.Long hours are sometimes required.Education and Experience
Previous experience in the hotel industry preferred.Familiarity with Point-of-Sale systems, inventory management software, and reporting tools.Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods.Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and guests.Compliance with all State, Federal, and corporate requirements pertaining to food safety.Go Beyond @SonestaHotels

Pay Range
Salary Compensation Range is $80,000 - $83,000 annually.
Must be flexible to work variable shifts (days and nights) of the week to include weekends and holidays.Long hours are sometimes required.Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
