We are looking for an individual who wants to leverage a combination of pricing and competitive intelligence expertise to provide the best value solutions for our clients.

Contributions

The primary focus of this position is to work collaboratively as part of a diverse capture team that is assigned to strategic new business opportunities to perform competitive intelligence and price to win analysis in coordination with the overarching win strategy and technical solution.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct strategic research on competitors utilizing open-source intelligence and subscription databasesSynthesize and analyze research findings to develop competitor profile write-upsFacilitate Black Hat Reviews and secure management buy-in to overarching competitive positioning strategyBrief senior leadership throughout capture process on Steampunk’s competitive positioning and relative win probability (PWin)Develop Price-to-win (PTW) models based on understanding of the bidding environment and of Steampunk’s unique solutionsIdentify/analyze/model competition through research and analysis, including SWOT analysis Support win strategy development, performing gap analysis of our market/industry position Conduct market research on trends, regulations, innovations, and key competitorsCollect and analyze data on government customer budgets, spending, and industry benchmarks to support top-down Price to Win (PTW) analysisCollect and analyze competitor cost/price data to support bottom-up PTW analysisInterfacing confidently with different corporate functional groups, such as Sales, Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Operations, and Senior Executives. Qualifications

Requirements:

Report to McLean office once a week or as neededBachelor's Degree and 8+ years of related experienceExperience in the federal government contracting marketExperience in open-source research, analysis, and data synthesisFamiliarity with acquisition strategies, contracting and various price build-up componentsExperience conducting competitive intelligence and market research Strong presentation/communications and interpersonal skills requiredExperience with Office365, including SharePoint

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with the federal IT services competitive bid processAdvanced Excel capabilitiesExperience developing visual representations of competitive positioning for executive consumption and analysis

 

Steampunk is a federal contractor subject to Executive Order 14042 and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.223-99 implementing the order.  Therefore, this position requires full vaccination for COVID-19, except in jurisdictions where the mandate is barred by a court ordered injunction.
