Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Communications is currently looking for a Compensation Senior Manager to join our team. You must be in Atlanta, Georgia, Virginia Beach, Virginia, New Orleans, Louisiana, Las Vegas, Nevada or Omaha, Nebraska.
The Role:
The Compensation Senior Manager has a critical role in planning, developing, implementing, administering and maintaining compensation programs that support the company’s pay philosophy. The Compensation Senior Manager ensures consistent application of competitive pay practices, evaluates programs, trends and/or new technologies and recommends changes and improvements across multiple client groups. The Compensation Senior Manager works independently and provides solutions to highly complex compensation problems.
Reporting to the AVP, Compensation, Organization Design, and Strategic Workforce Planning, this role will partner with the business to gain deep insight into internal operations as well as the external market factors that influence Cox Communications (CCI) strategy, goals, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy: Develop compensation recommendations that are informed by market data and reflect CCI’s compensation philosophy.
Data Delivery and Analysis: Conduct market, pay equity, and other compensation research to provide insights that inform decision-making.
Leading Practice: Proactively inform leaders of relevant compensation trends to help support budgeting, planning and workforce planning decisions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with senior leaders, HR, cross-divisional team members and other stakeholders to ensure compensation programs support organizational goals.
Project Management: Oversee multiple compensation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and that stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
Compensation audit: Review job/pay levels to identify and resolve issues arising from reorganizations, contractual changes, acquisitions, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in related discipline (e.g., HR Management, Business, Mathematics, etc.) and 8 years’ experience in a related field (i.e. Compensation, HR, Financial Analysis, etc.). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field.
Strong knowledge and demonstration of advanced Excel skills and mastery of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to apply discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
Excellent quantitative reasoning skills.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Possesses comprehensive and extensive knowledge of subject matter (e.g., compensation program design, implementation and administration).
Preferred Qualifications:
MS degree.
Understanding of executive compensation and sales compensation programs, practices and policies.
Experience in telecommunications industry.
CCP.
