Your role and responsibilities

As a key member of the Performance and Reward (P&R) team, the Compensation & Performance Partner is re-sponsible for driving, analyzing, researching, evaluating, overseeing ABB’s global compensation and performance policies and procedures at ground level within countries of responsibility with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. This role aims to attract, retain, and motivate employees in alignment with ABB’s business, HR, and reward strategies, as well as corporate policies. The C&P Partner ensures effective governance throughout the organization with support from different stakeholders (e.g. corporate team, Business area performance and rewards leaders, other compensation and performance managers, HRBPs, country HRM, HR Ops Team members, etc.).The work model for the role is: Onsite This Center of Expertise (COE) role supports all of the ABB Business Areas and is hosted in Motion Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tExecutes and contributes to strategy within functional, Business Area and geographic area of responsibility, in alignment with Group guidance, policies, and procedures. Acts as speaking partner to the business to advice on strategy, process and policy and best practice approach in relation to Compensation & Performance.•\tManages and directs compensation programs (e.g. single cycle process) in countries of responsibility and ensures that initiatives and strategies align with the company's Compensation, Business Area, and Division philosophy and objectives and manages the legislative impact of reward policies and practices. Determine the effectiveness of programs, initiatives and strategies and their ability to attract and retain top talent.•\tPartners with HRBPs, Line Managers and business leaders to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through existing, new, and/or improved HR practices, processes, or policies in area of functional specialty. Counsels HR and business leadership on effective solutions to resolve issues and support long-term objectives.•\tOversee the execution of market benchmarking exercises, while building and maintaining internal and external networks to realize efficiencies and apply best practices.•\tAbility to come up with unique solutions based on market knowledge using different market surveys in addition to local market networking.•\tParticipate and volunteer in Projects of strategic importance for the function including new systems, processes, laws, ideas etc.•\tWorks with the Operational HR team to optimize support for the relevant processes and monitors service delivery in accordance with the pre-defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelors/master’s degree with advanced theoretical experience of 10+ years of relevant compensation & performance experience, preferably with a mix of consulting and corporate background. \tStrong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions along with proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday and SAP. \tStrong project management and planning capabilities, along with great analytical and Excel modeling skills. \t Ability to collaborate and establish trust-based relationships with different stakeholders. \tUnderstanding of relevant laws and regulations within the countries in scope. \t Ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties with strong communication and relation-ship-building skills. \t Strategic thinking and planning skills. While having out of the box mindset and at the same time hands-on experience. \t Ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and deliver concrete outcomes while engaging with senior stakeholders.
