Compensation Manager

Position Details: 

The Compensation Manager will lead a team of analysts in the development, implementation and administration of job architecture, compensation programs and pay practices to support Merakey’s workforce with a focus on the non-profit entities. This role involves collaborating with senior HR, Operations, and Administrative leadership to ensure alignment with financial strategy and business goals, as well as analyzing market trends, managing competitive pay structures, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation.

 

Functions of this role include:

Research, monitor, and analyze compensation data to produce business insights for presentation to leadership Provide recommendations for competitive pay structures and incentive plans. Conduct benchmarking studies and market analyses. Facilitate implementation of pay practices, pay enhancements, compensation incentives and off cycle pay changes Facilitate job description development in collaboration with HR partners and management. Oversee job evaluations, classifications, and organizational leveling. Audit and recommend changes as appropriate.   Evaluate job roles and responsibilities to determine appropriate compensation level, salary plan, and/or pay grade Participate in and conduct salary surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved. Maintain record-keeping of salary survey matches, SOC codes, and EEOC codes . Support the development and administration of compensation policies, practices, and procedures, while recommending enhancements that balance corporate objectives, cost effectiveness and external market benchmarking insights. Stays apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.  Provide guidance to leaders and employees on pay decisions, job architecture, compensation policies and pay practices. Evaluate and modify salary structures to ensure equitable and competitive employee compensation. Conduct review and audit of compensation related data as needed. Manage a team of Compensation professionals, conducting day to day supervisory duties as well as training. Responsible for hiring, firing, and performance management of team members. Mentor and foster professional growth among team members. Support and/or lead compensation related projects as required.
