Job Summary
This role is responsible for administering the company’s compensation programs and delivering solutions to business leaders and employees. The jobholder will help evaluate, design, implement, and continuously improve compensation processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The jobholder will conduct job evaluations, utilizing market research to define appropriate job benchmarking, as well as writing job descriptions. The jobholder will develop and maintain compensation structures including incentive plans and bonus programs. The jobholder will support teams at the corporate and plant level regarding job offer recommendations, pay changes, and other compensation-related employee changes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate and assist in the design and refinement of the organization’s job and pay structure, including benchmarking and grading various roles. Work with business leaders to maintain and update job descriptions, ensuring compliance with company policy and applicable laws and regulations. Provide support to corporate and plant HR regarding job offer recommendations, promotions, adjustments, and other job changes. Administer the organization’s annual merit and bonus processes, collaborating with salary planning managers to ensure accurate data. Utilize market research to enhance the organization’s compensation processes to recruit and retain quality talent. Generate and audit reports regarding compensation trends to support informed decision-making. Manage the annual plan documents for internal bonus and incentive programs. Structure incentives based on target financial and performance goals, and collaborate with business leaders on approval. Develop and deliver communications and training materials for managers and HR leaders on compensation practices and policies. Communicate relevant internal compensation policies and programs to employees and management. Partner with the HRIS and Payroll teams to ensure data integrity, and conduct compensation data audits as needed. Other duties and projects as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree required. 3 -5 years of progressive HR experience, with an emphasis in compensation. Strong experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in UltiPro/UKG preferred. Knowledge of local, state, and federal compensation laws and regulations. Ability to professionally handle highly confidential compensation and HR data. Exceptional, articulate communicator with superior business writing skills, as well as strong verbal and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Self-starter who can independently manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and consistently execute with excellence.
