There may be scheduled infrequent exceptions which require the employee to be onsite. + Description + Benefits + Questions What Success Looks Like In This Job This position is designed for an experienced Community Support Case Manager who is highly skilled in the development, training, and accurate and timely issuance of all programmatic benefits. The successful candidate will work in both an independent and team-oriented atmosphere while utilizing strong behavioral and analytical skills to assist the QA/Training Supervisor(s) in development and performance analysis of all Community Support Case Manager team members, which includes: developing trainings, leading training cohorts, providing direction to team members and classroom management, performing case reviews, second level case reviews for accuracy, audit preparation, trend analysis, client merge activities, preparing case information for court hearings, and other duties list below. The candidate is expected to remain highly proficient with all current and future program policy requirements, as well as in the use of analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, Access, and other databases, computer systems, and training methods. There are five primary areas of focus as a Community Support Case Manager Lead, which include training and development, certified trainer, quality assurance (QA), CBMS technical, and claims. Examples of Duties for Success + Develop, deliver, and maintain county developed training materials to supplement state developed training for the following programs and systems: + Adult Financial + Colorado Works (Temporary Aid to Needy Families) + Food Assistance + Medical Assistance to include Long Term Care + Internal processing systems + HSConnects + Successful Interviewing for eligibility programs listed above + Other areas as needed. + Successfully obtain and maintain state certification necessary to deliver state certified trainings in-house. + Provide one-on-one, classroom, and over the shoulder support to all team members. + Conduct one-on-one meetings with each trainee to coach, develop, and provide valuable feedback. + Assist with tracking performance benchmarks of new team members to assist with training requirements, trends, areas of success, and opportunities. + Maintain high-level classroom management skills, which includes coaching, feedback, and one-on-one support of trainees. + Coordinate, as necessary with other offices and staff, on training content and methods. + Co-create and co-lead team facilitations and trainings. + Make recommendations regarding training needs and Training Plans to leadership and assist in the development of those practices. + Maintain and regularly update Training Plans with appropriate input from subject matter experts. + Establish instructional objectives and develop training to meet those objectives. + Develop tools to assess the effectiveness of training provided and modify future training accordingly. + Maintain the Community Support team's SharePoint page with up-to-date training material. + Become an expert user of the state and county's learning management systems to successfully create class sessions, troubleshoot access issues, and grade assessments. + Participate in training sessions and meetings that will enhance training capabilities. + Create training calendars for cohorts, which includes scheduling appropriate conference rooms, virtual classrooms, guest speakers, and ensuring request for additional training support is submitted to the appropriate supervisor. + Ability to: + Navigate and manage a variety of technology platforms and tools. + Blend learning techniques, integrating e-learning tools, and learning new technology platforms - such as: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Forms + Compile requested reports that document training accomplishments, concerns, and priorities. + Ability to work all program areas (like a Community Support Case Manager III) to assist the Community Support team during high work volume times. + Assist other Community Support Case Manager Lead focuses (Training and Development, QA, CBMS Technical, and Claims) when needed. + Perform other duties as assigned, such as participating in CBMS User testing, staying current with CBMS Builds, participating in Knowledge Transfer calls and trainings, attending State eligibility program meetings, and supporting Economic Mobility Division training and timeliness efforts as needed. Qualifications for Success + Knowledge Of: + Eligibility rules and regulations for all assistance programs is required and includes: + Adult Financial + Colorado Works + Food Assistance + Medical Assistance + Case processing policies and procedures. + Office and internal policies and procedures. + Principles and practices of supervision and training. + Skill To + Research and interpret rule. + Research and analyze complex issues for purposes of developing curriculum, facilitations, project plans, claims, trends, etc. + Develop and deliver curriculum to meet key learning objectives and to strategically create connection points to the County’s goals and initiatives. + Utilize and train others to employ all research tools used in eligibility determination and apply those tools to information discovered through investigation and examination. + Ability To + Apply basic math and read, interpret, and apply manual regulations. + Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. + Work quickly and accurately, with minimal supervision at times, to complete time-sensitive tasks. + Develop and maintain positive working relationships with those contacted during work. + Differentiate between relevant and non-relevant information when making eligibility decisions. + Input data accurately and detect errors/make corrections. + Participate in interviewing for new team members. + Maintain objectivity and confidentiality. + Work effectively and positively with individuals of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and educationally diverse populations. + Personally commit to champion the County's norms and values as an individual and professional commitment to design facilitations for others that reinforce the County's cultural expectations. More Qualifications for Success + Experience: + At least three (3) years of experience determining eligibility for multiple programs. + Experience as a Community Support Case Manager II/III with consistently high case accuracy rate is preferred. + Working experience and knowledge of all programs – Adult Financial, Colorado Works, Food Assistance, and Medical Assistance. Experience with LTC is preferred but not required. + Education and Training; + High school diploma or GED equivalent required. + An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred and may substitute for one year of required experience. + Additional analytical, statistical, or other related higher education is preferred. + License or Certificate: + None. + Background Check: + Must pass a criminal background check. + Other: + Ability to work in a standard office environment.
