Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Varying shifts between 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday

Job Summary: Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Youth & Family Community Support Specialist in our Sedalia location. In this role, you will evaluate patients' needs, arrange assistance, provide referrals to support programs, assist families, provide information on housing/daycare, support disabled persons and families with young children. You'll conduct interviews, determine areas of needed support, provide parental education, maintain detailed notes and confidential records, and have in-depth knowledge of available community programs and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services field such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Recreational Therapy, Human Development & Family Studies, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Sociology or equivalent qualifying experienceMust work well with childrenOrganized and energeticStrong time management skillsWillingness to help others and show initiativeExcellent communication abilitiesReliable transportationFlexibility with schedulesAbility to transport clients as neededValid driver's license with favorable driving recordCurrent auto insurance coverage
