Community Support Professional III - Intensive - Regional Mobile Crisis Services (Danville, Piedmont, Southside) ($2,500 Sign on Bonus)

Description 

The Community Support Professional III, provides direct intensive community crisis stabilization and prevention supports to individuals diagnosed with behavioral health diagnoses served by the Region III Regional Mobile Crisis Team. Also assists with the development of and staff training in individualized behavior support plans. Works as part of the Regional Mobile Crisis team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and participate optimally in the community. 

Starting Hourly Rate: $20.96-Depending on Experience

$2,500 Sign on Bonus

Qualifications 

Knowledge and training in best practices for providing community based behavioral health services for individuals with disabilities residing in community settings.  Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations of laws governing commitment of persons to institutionalized care, and standards and related ethical and legal guidelines including Medicaid, and other payment sources.  Ability to work independently and part of a team and work effectively with other agencies and develop community resources.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and present educational materials.  Demonstrated understanding of issues around cultural competence and finds value in a commitment to diversity and inclusion and ability to effectively work with professional interpreter services as needed.  Must possess a valid driver’s license (Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) and an acceptable driving record must be maintained throughout employment.  Acceptable criminal history record and child protective services check upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment.  Acceptable drug screen results upon hire. 

Education/Experience Required: 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor's Degree in special education, social work, psychology, or approved human services related field is preferred.  Current registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A and/or QMHP-C is required.

Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
