The GKN Fokker Elmo Engineering department is comprised of different teams.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our existing Engineering Community of Practice, working directly with a senior leader to infuse new energy, grow participation, and create an environment that promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration. You'll lead initiatives to keep our community thriving and exciting, from designing engaging events and managing our SharePoint hub to curating content and encouraging active involvement.

What You'll Do
• Ignite Community Engagement: Work alongside a senior leader to bring energy to our Engineering CoP, organizing activities that drive collaboration and excitement.
• Shape Community Roles and Events: Support the definition and communicate roles within the CoP, and build an annual calendar of events, including both department-specific and all-hands activities.
• SharePoint Portal: Support the Design and launch a user-friendly SharePoint portal that becomes the central hub for resources, discussions, and updates within the CoP.
• Support/Lead Monthly Webinars: Curate topics for our monthly webinars that bring valuable insights to the CoP, collaborating with experts and ensuring sessions are engaging and inspiring.
• Keep the Momentum Going: Create regular posts, success stories, and relevant industry updates to keep the CoP active and alive, turning it into a place where engineers want to be.
• Measure and Grow: Develop metrics to measure community engagement and work continuously to increase participation, building a sustainable culture of collaboration.

Candidates from one the following (higher) education (HBO-level) programs would be a great fit:
1. Communication Studies: Strong foundation in audience engagement, digital communication, and community building.
2. Business Administration or Management: Knowledge of project management, organizational behavior, and team dynamics.
3. Human Resources: Experience in people management, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
4. Digital Marketing: Skills in social media, content creation, and online community management.
5. Event Management: Background in planning, organizing, and executing events with an eye for creating positive experiences.
6. Psychology or Sociology: Understanding of human behavior, motivation, and social structures, which are valuable for building community engagement.
