Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Health Rep.
The Community Health Rep will work at NYU Grossman School of Medicine on research projects focused on the patient-physician relationship. The current study is entitled, Does Implicit Bias Influence Medical Decision-Making Developing and Validating Novel Models and Outcome Metrics. Future studies are anticipated as well that will use simulation to address physician communication skills and medical decision-making. All studies are and will be directed by Cristina M. Gonzalez, MD, MEd, as Principal Investigator (PI). The Community Health Rep will participate in trainings, engage with clinicians and health professions learners in exercises.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in trainings for Educational exercises with clinicians/learners, CBOs; Use of assessment tools and checklists Collaborate in refinement of educational exercises Provide feedback to investigative team about the process and outcomes of the educational exercises. Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties. Data Management – Responsible for accurate inputting of information from assessments, checklists, and other data forms specific to a project. and forms completed by participants, standardized patients, and trained observers to various sources to analyzable formats (e.g. Excel). Decision Making and Problem Solving – Combines and evaluates information and data to make decisions about relative importance of information and choosing the best solution to solve problems. Resolves complex situations and refers non-solved issues and questions with recommendation to supervisor. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma and minimum of 1 year related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Effective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $25.02 – $27.47 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
