Community Evangelist

At SailPoint, the Community and Education team is on a mission to continue scaling our 100k+ member online community as the trusted, go-to destination for identity security professionals to develop their skills, share best practices, and grow their industry connections. We are seeking a dynamic community manager and evangelist with exceptional relationship-building, communication, and program management skills who will champion our community among technical industry professionals and internal stakeholders. 

 

Responsibilities:  

Lead community planning in alignment with SailPoint’s business objectives, including defining objectives and key results, identifying priorities and initiatives, and driving execution. 

Manage community communication policies and practices and oversee forum moderation to reflect SailPoint’s brand and create a community culture aligned with SailPoint’s values. 

Build and run programs to acquire new members and to activate member engagement and advocacy, including the community gamification strategy, new member onboarding, communication programs such as newsletters and blogs, community challenges, and more. 

Develop relationships with community ambassadors and super users to expand user-led growth and content development. 

Engage with our Technical Community Advocates and Event Manager to create and deliver technical educational content, including events and webinars, product forum responses, wiki articles, and more. 

Guide community platform development, working with vendors to prioritize features and bug fixes that improve member experience. 

Collaborate with Digital Marketing to develop a cohesive digital experience across SailPoint, build new webpages, improve content, and optimize search results. 

Cultivate relationships and meet regularly with internal stakeholders (Customer Success, Marketing, Developer Relations, Product Management, Professional Services, Support, IT, Operations), to gain internal buy-in and support for community building efforts. 

Lead quarterly business reviews with leadership to provide insights on community ROI, growth, and engagement and updates on key initiatives and programs. 

 

Requirements: 

4+ years in Community Management 

Technical aptitude to learn and implement technology, systems, and tools 

Data-driven decision-maker with ability to set goals, KPIs, and priorities 

Exceptional program management and execution, with a knack for scaling impact and business 

Strong relationship-building, networking, and influencing abilities 

Excellent writing and presentation skills 

Self-starter who enjoys innovation, experimentation, and strategic risk-taking 

Team player adept at bringing people together to solve problems 

Strong track record of working collaboratively across global organizations and effective stakeholder management 

Preferred: 

Marketing or Communications experience, a plus 

Experience managing community platform, a plus 

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$91,910 - $131,300 - $170,690

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
