Community Ed Program Assistant
Job ID: 4939043 Position Summary: Assist Program Supervisor with planning, execution and instruction of youth and/or adults with a particular program/event that could include Youth Volleyball, Youth Football, Youth Basketball, and more. Responsibilities: + Assist with delivery of assigned recreation program or event by helping with set-up and clean-up and directing participants on where to go for class + Help demonstrate to the participants what is being taught by the instructor or volunteer coaches + Enforce rules and regulations of JCE and JCSD in order to maintain discipline and ensure safety + Contribute to creating a positive work environment by being engaged and serving as a positive role model/representative of the department/district. + Maintain positive relationships and effective communication/collaboration with co-workers, parents, community members and participants of all ages. + Demonstrate initiative and ability to follow direction with minimal supervision. + Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate integrity and be respectful of others. + Handle multiple tasks as assigned or job requires and complete work in a timely manner. + Follow and enforce district/department/program policies and procedures. + Display dependability, being on-time and present during scheduled work, being accountable for work productivity and actions. + Communicate effectively both in writing and orally through clear speaking and listening skills. + Possess appropriate levels of enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience. + Control their setting as needed to ensure quality program implementation. + Provide instruction/leadership/management of program implementation related to specific job responsibilities. + Perform light to moderate manual labor to assist with implementation of program. + Demonstrate ability to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations. Experience: + Must be at least 16 years old. + Knowledge or background in sports and experience in supervising children. Schedule: + Primarily weekends/some weekdays + Positions are seasonal. Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour
