PURPOSE Assist the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Programs & Events in executing donor-centric special events, gameday hospitality, and athletic department fundraising efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES Functional Area 1: Departmental Events 60% + Assist with the execution of various Islander s Athletic donor events incl u ding but not limited to signature athletic department fundraising events, luncheons, social/happy hours, watch parties, and tailgating. + Coordinate solicitation for Casino Night silent auction items and building the online auction platform + Assist in solicitation of event sales utilizing social media, e-blasts, etc. + Help track event-related tasks incl u ding, but not limited to, budget tracking, list management, and event RSVPs Functional Area 2: Annual Giving Support 20% + In collaboration with Annual Giving colleagues, support all fulfillment of donor-related benefits and stewardship efforts, as outlined in the benefits chart + Support game day hospitality. + Assist with coordination of Annual Giving c om munications and appeals Special Events 15% + Attend and assist at designated Islanders Athletics and University Institutional Advancement events as appropriate Other Duties 5% + Other duties as assigned by the VP for Student Engagement and Success & Intercollegiate Athletics or Deputy AD / AVP for Intercollegiate Athletics QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field. + Two (2) years related experience. + Additional education/experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum qualifications that are required: + High school diploma/GED with six (6) years of related experience + Associate’s degree in applicable field with four (4) years of related experience + Master’s degree in applicable field + Willingness and ability to travel. + Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications. + Strong written and verbal c om munication skills. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times . + Ability to maintain a thorough knowledge of, and adhere to, all University, Association, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulation . PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + ​ Master’s Degree. + Experience in a development position or a related external athletics field. + Intercollegiate athletics development experience. + Experience with planning events. + Experience planning athletic events.
