Role Summary

 

The Corporate Communications Specialist will develop corporate communications that inform and support global colleagues at Hatch. We're looking for a candidate who will combine solid writing skills, strong communication skills, and project management capabilities for inspired storytelling and engaging delivery.

 

The Corporate Communications Specialist will:

 

Conduct interviews, research, and actively collaborate with our internal clients for the successful delivery of effective communications. Develop internal communications that support the global rollout of campaigns across Hatch. Collate and manage content on our corporate intranet. Support content strategies for leadership messaging across the organization. Contribute weekly/monthly content to our intranet sites. Collaborate with regional and sector marketing leads marketing leads to align communications around key initiatives. Plan content and schedule work. Write for and contribute to Hatch's internal editorial content with daily publishing timelines. Write for and contribute to various communications and marketing materials, such as presentations, event collateral, media releases, online content, intranet, and social media. Research and compile relevant and highly technical information for content drafts. Liaise directly with leadership outside of the marketing department and across various disciplines, practices, and geographies. Support events with planning, communications, and execution.

 

This role is well-suited to a self-motivated team player with strong problem solving and project management abilities. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks, never compromising the quality of the work delivered.

 

Requirements of the role

 

A university degree in communications, journalism, or English. Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in the field with demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Strong written communication, and organizational and time management skills. Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and highly technical information to create compelling copy for target audiences. Creative and critical thinking skills with experience leveraging photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts to increase users’ understanding. Ability to manage multiple projects, schedule work, and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail with superior proofreading skills. Understanding of client relationship management and industry best practices. Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team. Adaptability in a dynamic, complex, and fast paced delivery environment. Creativity and experience with a wide range of innovative communications approaches. Professional and friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills. Experience using social media as an internal communications tool is an asset. Proven experience with internal communications for a large corporation is an asset. Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style is an asset. Strong computer skills.
