YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!This is a full-time, in-person Summer Internship! Must be able to start on June 2, 2025 and the internship ends on August 29, 2025.
Schedule: 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 1-hr lunch (In Office Mon/Tue/Wed and Remote Thu/Fri)
Seeking a motivated, self-starter who is interested in working with AHF community partners to develop strategic programming that will further enhance the impact of AHF’s engagement in targeted communities.
The ideal candidate will need to posses a strong ability to manage multiple projects, be a strategic planner and be able to achieve the desired outcomes, working both as a part of internal teams and individually.
The candidate needs to be open to working with diverse communities and be a strong communicator. The candidate will need to be able to work with minimal supervision.
The primary responsibility of the position is to serve as the liaison for AHF with one of the organizations local community partner to design and execute a community based collaborative project that will focus on the mission, goals and objectives of AHF. The project will focus on a primary, targeted community. The ideal candidate will perform the following:
- Regular daily meetings with primary liaison and/or staff of identified community partner;
- Develop and execute a community engagement plan that focuses on addressing an engagement activation focused on connecting with a target population (ie. millennial's, Black American's, etc.)
- Weekly meetings with supervisor and HR representative;
- Create informative and creative presentations;
- Handle multiple project management related tasks
- Attend various community events (mostly during the work day/some evening and weekend events)
- Exhibit strong time management skills
Education and/or Experience
Currently enrolled or Post Grad in a 4-year college/university with a major in communications, hospitality, marketing, business, public relations or a related field.
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Undergraduate or recently graduated – Preferably Marketing/Media/Graphic Design/ Videographer Major 3.0 GPA or higher higly preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Familiar with Macintosh operating systems
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Intern must have great communication skills
Intern must have great presentation skills
Intern must commit fully to the entire duration of the program
