The Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a Communications and Organization Change Management Manager (OCM) in our Abbott Park location. 

As the Communications and OCM Manager, you’ll have the chance to manage strategic communication to Abbott’s Procurement community. As the lead developing communication campaigns and change management programs, you’ll work alongside leaders in our Procurement, as well as in IT and Financial Services. You’ll supervise an employee who will round out your team with execution and coordination support.   

What You’ll Work On

Design change management campaigns, involving communication, training and tool creation, to drive adoption of new initiatives.

Work with various Procurement departments and business stakeholders to understand (and mitigate) change impacts from new initiatives. 

Create communication campaigns for key events and iniatives in Procurement.

Develop communications that are on-brand for Abbott and for Procurement, and convey key messages for employees.  

Develop training strategy, working with content experts to coordinate and deliver training.

Manage and nurture the growth of Community of Practice for Super Users of Source to Pay technology.

Lead cross-functional team focused on communication and change management across functions.

Manage on-boarding and off-boarding of employees.

Required Qualifications

BA or equivalent experience required      

5+ years of experience    

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Organizational Change Management certification desirable

Minimum Education/Training Required:

Robust people skills that include developing strong relationships and solving problems  

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Excellent business writing skills  

Strong project management skills 

Excellent interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills

Ability to develop actionable implementation plans

Relevant business process knowledge, as related to Procurement and Category Management

Some experience leading teams

Preferred Qualifications

Successful, 3+ year track record within procurement and supply chain management

International experience

Some knowledge of markets by regions

Procurement experience in both direct and indirect material

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
