About the role
We are looking for a Commodity Manager Logistics Sourcing to manage and develop category profiles with spend analytics, market information, benchmarking intel, and supplier dynamics. Work with business and functional stakeholders to understand business needs/constraints and identify procurement-related value-creation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities include
Contract third-party logistic service providers, including Managed Transportation global suppliers Analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities in order to identify growth opportunities and market gaps. Monitor and evaluate category performance, leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures. Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions to drive cost savings and strengthen supplier relationships. Prepare and run tenders for the categories in scope, dealing with all relevant stakeholders (service providers, internal customers, and cross-functional teams) Collect data, complete market research, define terms and conditions, negotiate proposals, and finalize contracts Manage service providers, follow market trends and legislative changes Provide input and expertise in all relevant improvement and development projects (footprint analysis, make or buy, cost efficiency, etc.) Implement purchasing policy and best practicesAbout you
University Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with significant experience as a substitute.Significant experience (minimum 8+ years) in transportation purchasing/sourcing/insourcing/outsourcing/control tower management areas.English written and spoken fluently; any other language is a plus.Experience, education, and/or certification in Project Management is a plus.Relevant skills in procurement: negotiation, supplier management, and procurement.Strong analytical capabilities in order to manage cost analysis, budgets, and reports.Solid market knowledge of different areas within Logistics (trucking, courier, airfreight, sea, warehousing, customs brokerage, etc.).Operational knowledge of different areas within Logistic / Supply Chain & Procurement: transportation by land, sea, warehousing, distribution networks, and complex logistics systems is a plus.Experience with e-procurement platforms is an asset.Some travel will be required Domestically and/or internationally.
