Commissions Analyst

Job Summary

The Analyst, US Sales Commissions is responsible for administering commission programs for the US sales organization.  This position will calculate commissions, track and monitor advances and guarantees and generate reports for the US Sales team, sales leadership and executive management. This role is responsible for designing and implementing efficient and accurate processes leveraging the Company’s commission software and revenue reporting tools.  The incumbent will also support Sales and Finance objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Possess thorough understanding of all US sales commission plans; Perform calculation of commissions and generate commission statements using the Company’s commission software application; Update the commission software application, payroll payment files and accrual files as hires, terminations, and plan changes occur. Foresee and manage the effect that changes will create throughout the system (i.e. effects on credit/commissions results, reporting, etc.); Create and maintain documents and records required for audit support, including approvals for any plan exceptions or adjustments; Perform monthly and quarterly close activities related to commissions, including preparing monthly expense accrual entries, reconciling the accrued commission balance, reconciling payroll payments, and supporting internal and external audits.  Work closely with Payroll/HR, Sales Operations, Accounting to ensure accurate calculation, payment, accounting and reporting; Provide support to the sales force in resolving issues/disputes;

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years related experience; Strong financial system, business application and Excel skills are required.  Experience with commissions-specific software solutions a plus; Strong analytical skills with ability to efficiently identify issues and develop resolutions;  Skills required: Ability to quickly learn and adapt rules-based commissions software to fit our business needs; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with the sales force, sales management and all levels across the company; Ability to train sales force and sales management to effectively utilize and navigate through commission software application; Independent, self-starter who manages responsibilities and assignments with minimal support and direction; Excellence in attention to detail and accuracy; Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while delivering accurate results in a timely manner; Flexibility and adaptability, ability to manage in dynamic business environment;

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge for Xactly Incent; Knowledge of general ledger practices; General understanding of Sales structures and commission plans Ability to interpret commission plans and create commission formulas accordingly; 

Education

Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business or Finance.

Compensation: The Base Salary Range for this position is $70,000- $95,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment with significant warehouse interface. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the warehouse facilities.  Some local or long distance travel may be necessary.  A valid drivers license is required.
