Position: Commissioning Project Engineer - Life Sciences & Advanced Manufacturing Company: FST Technical Services – Commissioning (Cx) Division Company Overview FST Technical Services’ Commissioning (Cx) Division is a leading provider of quality assurance in the design, construction, and post-acceptance phases of building projects. Our focus is on ensuring that mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated systems are properly designed, installed, and tested to meet client requirements and design intent. Position Summary The commissioning project engineer reports to a team leader and is responsible for the delivery and execution of our professional services tasks for equipment in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated systems working on the construction and upgrade within the Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing industries.  Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical commissioning expertise and ideally have previous experience within construction or upgrade of life sciences or advanced manufacturing projects. They should have a strong understanding of building system interconnectivity and aptitude for problem solving.  Responsibilities: + A Commissioning Project Engineer is responsible for managing, scheduling and budgeting assigned projects.  + Inform other project engineers and senior project engineers regarding staff scheduling.  + As appropriate, provide troubleshooting and technical support on a variety of capital projects related to the construction and renovation of manufacturing and laboratory spaces, new / upgraded utility and infrastructure systems, and controls related projects.    + Serve as an Owner’s Project Manager on new construction and upgrades within the life sciences and related industries.   + Executing and managing commissioning tasks within time budgeted.  + Maintain relations with existing clients on assigned projects.  + Support the engineering manager in the training and mentoring of team members on proper documentation development, field procedures and equipment usage.  Requirements/Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or construction/maintenance related experience with a 2 year engineering technology degree  + Experience working in or supporting the construction or upgrade of manufacturing Semiconductor, bio /pharma, advanced manufacturing experience a plus. + EIT or CEM certification preferred  + Understanding of FDA regulated industries is desirable.  + Hands-on-experience of HVAC and/or electrical systems  + Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 30 pounds and climbing ladders  + Ability to travel to and from various jobsites (within organizations multiple offices a plus!)  Powered by JazzHR
