Purpose and Responsibilities

Perform inspections and testing of electrical equipment prior to and during energisationPerform electrical LV, MV and HV switching when requiredPerform fault-finding, verification and measurement of electrical parameter on equipmentParticipate in equipment punchlist walkdowns to identify and record incomplete work and defects if requiredPerform corrective work (repairs) on electrical equipment when requiredComplete commissioning checksheets in a timely manner and add defects and incomplete work to the punchlistCommunicate and coordinate with different discipline teams to ensure efficient use of resources to maximise productive workPerform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the commissioning manager and/or leads

Qualifications and Experience

Degree In Electrical Engineering or Equivalent3 to 5 Years Experience working in a project construction and/or commissioning environmentGood understanding of project drawings such as P&IDs, SLDs, schematics, and wiring diagramsGood knowledge of electrical switchgear, protection devices and electrical equipmentAlibility to fault find and rectify issues an advantageAbility to use electrical PPE, to work in live HV, MV and LV electrical installationsKnowledge of Zambian electrical safety standards and regulations
