Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain high standards of health and safety, including personal hygieneProduce creative and excellent dishes that exceed guest expectationsEffectively communicate with other members of the kitchen teamGracefully receive and implement constructive criticismRemain calm and focused while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environmentCarry out multiple orders simultaneously within tight timeframesPerform basic tasks of food preparation and organisation in the kitchenSupport other team members to ensure the successful operation of the kitchenAssist in the preparation of mise en place for assigned stationFollow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefsMaintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, equipment, and utensilsAssist in stock rotation and inventory managementParticipate in menu development and dish presentation discussionsAdhere to food safety regulations and quality control standardsContribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere by demonstrating a willingness to learn and growAssist in the training of junior kitchen staff when requiredParticipate in regular team meetings and briefingsContinuously improve culinary skills and knowledge of food trends and techniques

Qualifications

• High School certificate
• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage/Restaurant operations role
• Passion for teamwork
• Excellent guest service skills
• Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures
