Commercial Term Lending Litigation Analyst

The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Corporation and is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the organization of the Firm’s lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure encourages legal teams to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the businesses and staff areas and for the lines of business and staff areas to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to the legal teams in a timely manner. 

The Litigation, GIRE & HR Law department manages a range of litigation, pre-litigation, employment and regulatory disputes involving the Firm. 

As a Commercial Term Lending Litigation Support Analyst, you will be responsible for helping the legal team defend and resolve litigation and provide support to the business - with an emphasis on fact finding and analysis, event reconstruction, and document management, mainly supporting the Commercial Term Lending (CTL)  Litigation Practice Group. 

The Commercial Term Lending Litigation Practice Group manages litigation matters related to the CTL business. This includes litigation across the United States filed or threatened by customers and non-customers related to commercial term lending loans.

A portion of your workload will also relate to supporting other Litigation Practice Groups as well as working on shared-services tasks and responsibilities. 

 Core Responsibilities:

Complaint Analysis/Intake Communication with Third Parties, including Outside Counsel Fact-Finding and Discovery, including Document Collection Event Reconstruction: Drafting Chronologies, Synopses, and Summaries of Facts Case File and Document Management Document Production Settlement and Payment Processing Internal Project Management

 

Requirements:

 

Law degree  1 – 3 years of experience in litigation at a law firm or financial institution Research and document collection experience. Ability to review and summarize legal documents to assist an evaluation of claims. Strong English oral and written communication skills. Competence with the suite of Microsoft Office products. All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
