Your role and responsibilitiesJob profile summary: Manages the marketing of ABB's offering(s) to targeted market segments and manages the offering(s) throughout its/their lifecycle, in line with market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets. Accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offering. Supports business results by overseeing each step involved in the offering lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. Adapts and implements sales support strategy for a designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Ensures technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. Oversees estimations, bids, and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets. Leads, develops, and coaches the Sales Support team.•\tLeads the market intelligence analysis. •\tIdentifies potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunity(ies). •\tOwns the technical and market specification for the offering and determines an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth. •\tLeads the lifecycle management process, analyzes current offering, defines and tracks performance metrics, plans appropriate measures (e.g., enhancements, cost reductions, and phase-outs), and makes decisions on offering obsolescence and end-of life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met and to maximize the profitability. •\tInitiates and drives product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. •\tCoordinates different channel to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the best possible market coverage. •\tDefines product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensures clear communication to channels and users, to deliver clear offering positioning within the portfolio with defined values per offering line. •\tUnderstands and defines current market segmentation and related offering positioning. •\tResponsible for profitability and margin of the offering. •\tDrives the annual business planning process and facilitates agreement between sales demand and supply.•\tDevelops product management processes and tools continuously, including interfaces to other key functions and develops sales and tendering tools to support the Sales organization. •\tInitiates creation of external and internal product training modules and programs. •\tTracks and analyzes offering performance and trends in terms of volume and profitability. •\tEnsures the most competitive offering considering the market situation and customer conditions. •\tIdentifies the most effective approach (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) for better serving the customer. •\tOversees the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, and pricing) in each offer. Supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions. •\tParticipates in project risk review processes. •\tEnsures the required technical support and clarifications are provided to the Sales organizations during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers.
