Commercial Market Intelligence Analyst

About the Role:

 

The Commercial Market Intelligence Analyst will manage the end-to-end load process (ETL) for key data provided by customer accounts to be used for critical business reporting and analytics; this position will support the Global Commercial Sales and Marketing Organizations.

 

The position will work with Global based customer accounts as assigned, and cross functionally with other internal departments such as Finance, Operations and IT as needed. This role will report into the Commercial Analytics team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Manage end-to-end external data process (ETL) for assigned accounts as follows:Data acquisition: Collaborate with customer accounts to obtain periodic data on agreed schedule, and verify data is in loadable/usable formatData Staging: Ensure data is properly staged, resolving load errors and verifying completeness; Work with internal partners to maintain accurate data cleansing (material and account cross referencing)Data Loading:  Confirm data is loaded into all analytics and reporting systemsIssue Resolution:  Work with internal partners and customers directly to resolve data issuesProcess Improvement:  Collaborate with internal partners and customers to identify and execute improvement initiatives and projects.  Examples include (but are not limited to) optimization of load timing, improved data cleansing, and process documentation.Complete regular mass validations during critical period ends to ensure data accuracy / consistencyIntegrate new accounts as assignedAct as subject matter expert for external data, interfacing with Analytics, Finance, Operations and Sales teams as neededWork through conflicting issues, roadblocks and dependencies; proactively manage risks, changes and communication with project stakeholders. Flex to big picture strategic view as required.Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

English Level Required B2Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related fieldMinimum of 1 year of data management experience, preferable experience with consumer products companySystems knowledge or ability to learn quickly: SAP, Business WarehouseProficient in all Microsoft Suite Software, especially MS ExcelDemonstrated detail-oriented, self-reliant, problem-solving skillsDemonstrated effective time management skills through managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyProfessional verbal and written communication skills with comfort in presenting to all levels of the organizationBasic understanding of SQL (Structure Query Language)

 

Nice to have:

SAP and Business Warehouse proficiencyExperience overcoming obstacles with the ability to identify new opportunities within an organization, take risks, and learn from failureAnalytics’ tools proficiency such as Power BI / Alteryx / PythonProficiency in data automation processesExperience working with multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed teams
