We have a great opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our LPS team. You’ll provide proactive commercial support to your assigned accounts. Whilst the role is largely in-life contract management, the successful candidate should be conversant with both in-life contract management and working on a healthy pipeline of bid activities, as the LPS team is collaborative in nature.

What you'll be doing:
Assist the sales team to secure profitable and deliverable new businessProvide commercial support in deal shaping, negotiations & contractingReview pricing of existing and new business proposals to ensure they are aligned with company margin, risk and contingency provisionsEnsure all customer and supplier bids/contracts are approved and reviewed in line with deal approval governance and policy prior to submission/signatureIdentify, manage and report on key commercial / legal risks (legal risks to be communicated to Legal function and ongoing appropriate support / liaison to be maintained)Be main point of contact for principal client contract(s) and provide in-life client contract management supportReview, interpret and advise on existing contract rights and obligationsLead change management of contracts including production of BAU contract variationsSupport production of regular contract reporting in line with governance and contract requirementsEnsure that contract records are maintained and accessible as directedRecord, ratify and circulate commercial / negotiation meeting minutes when requiredSupport the business by owning and performing the ongoing admin of contracts (including the provision of contractual templates / tool kits, and delivering notices)Support of sub-contractor relationship management.Support of due diligence and MI / audit data request activitiesWork as part of client specific management teams, including managing a pipeline of activity and contributing to client specific strategy, review and performanceSupport exit activities where necessary, for the LPS sub-accounts with exiting clients.Functionally reports to a Senior Commercial Manager in a particular sub-account (e.g. Scotland) and ultimately into the LPS Commercial DirectorWhat we're looking for:
Desirable 2+ years’ contracts experience and demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre and post contract activityGood understanding of bid preparation and submission processes (ITT, RFP, BAFO)Ability to identify and analyse key commercial risks such as KPIs, SLAs, contractual dependencies and milestonesStrong contract drafting and negotiation skillsStrong knowledge of contract law and its application in SW / IT / BPO/Professional Services environmentsGood working knowledge of GDPRGood basic financial acumen (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet) and understanding of financial modelling, contract pricing and differing pricing modelsProducing reports and summaries (ad hoc and regular) which clearly articulate key matters for a senior and/or non-commercial audienceIdeally qualified to degree level or equivalent achieved through demonstrably successful experienceWorldCC Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner accreditation a plus but not essentialAbout Capita Commercial:
