JOB TITLE- Commercial Installer | Commercial Glass Installer

INDUSTRY – Custom Glass Fabrication | Construction, Installation, Repair and Replacement Services

PAY RATE- $16-$20/HR BOE

LOCATION- 
West York/ North York/ Dover, PA Area

SHIFT:

1st Shift— 7:00am-3:30pm | Mon-Fri OVERTIME— Yes typically every week

3 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THIS PERSON MUST HAVE— Attendance, reliability and willingness to learn and advance within the company. Able to understand math, use of a measuring tape, hand/ power tools, and measuring devices. Carpentry, Construction, and or Relevant Experience required; Glazing experience preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES— Glass experience is not required, but industry related skills such as carpentry, construction or assembly is highly desired. Installation and assembly of door and window frames; Installing glass panes. Learn to cut glass/metal, assist with assembly, and complete installation projects on commercial sites.  Assist with crew leader, installers, and or fabricator with related tasks English measurements, tape measures, power tools, basic math (fractions) and problem-solving Must be proficient with measuring tape, able to accurately read down to 1/16th of an inch, required; Must be able to pass a tape measure test (to 16th of an inch.) Experience with and able to taking measurements of necessary objects or frames and use of precise measuring tools (micrometers and calipers). Must be able to read, write and communicate with customers and co-workers Must have a valid driver’s license and be capable of lifting 75lbs. Experience with construction and related tools Experience with Windows, glass, metal and doors preferred. Ensuring jobsites/ shop organized, presentable, and tidy to ensure safe and proficient working environments.  Assist with, follow supervisor’s instructions, or communicate any unforeseen issues, in an appropriate professional manner. Reliable/Professional with communication skills to speak with both customers, vendors, and or internal employees when necessary. Prompt/On-Time; Organized and attention to detail Assist with other areas, projects, and tasks as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs; frequent bending, stooping, and stretching; being able to stand for prolonged periods of time; and ability to walk for prolonged period of time. Ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
